We see two nameless young people, probably a couple. Their seeking expression is mixed with exhaustion, maybe concern.

It turns out they are sitting in a Venetian boat station, looking at a boat they just missed. The picture was taken from the boat in motion, and the kinetic dynamic that this lends the photograph lets the two seem abandoned, even forsaken.

The main portions of the picture are taken up by the large, empty advertisement boards in the background, the graffiti on which blend in with the color arrangement of the two protagonists.
